Several years ago, a Steering Committee was commissioned to study our mission and ministry needs and assess the space utilization of our existing church facility. Following innumerable meetings, hours of exhaustive research and input from church members, staff, architects, and the community, the Steering Committee recommended a Master Plan to the Session.
While the Master Plan serves as a guide for our future, we are currently engaged in raising funds to address the following current and future needs:
- New construction of a 2-story facility to provide flexible, multi-use space to accommodate different worship styles, fellowship and other events
- Multi-purpose space with good acoustics, sound system, and flexible lighting to accommodate 500-750 in various seating arrangements
- Space for youth and children's vocal choirs, bell choirs, and liturgical dancers
- Multi-media rooms - By incorporating the latest technolgoies, we can expand our training capabilities and provide an exciting extension of our current adult education program
- Addition of multiple classrooms and one small gathering space for 40-60 in various seating arrangements
- Kitchen with access to multi-use space
- Relocation of library to better accommodate resource materials
- Renovate Hickman Hall to provide a dedicated youth area for large gatherings, expanded programming and other resources for our middle and high school youth
- Enclose area between Hickman Hall and Gym for additional youth gathering space
- Renovate Gym to provide improved lighting and acoustics
- Provide easier and more efficient access to the church facility for visitors and physically-challenged members via elevator and enclosed area between Hickman Hall and Gym
- Prepare facility for renovation and new construction
- Sitework for foundation excavation, reinforcement and new construction
- Asbestos abatement allowance
